UNION, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Multiple activities are planned for the 68th Annual Farmer’s Day Festival which begins Friday in Union.
The 68th Annual Farmer’s Day Festival will run from Friday, June 2, to Saturday, June 3, in Union.
The fun begins Friday night at 8 PM as a street dance will run until 11 PM. Buddy Allen and Cheat River Band, a country and southern rock band, will be performing Friday night. Hillbilly Fun will also have inflatables for the kids.
On Saturday, the Farmer’s Day 5K, 10K, and fun walk begin at 7:45 AM. Registration for the horse show and parade will begin at 8 AM followed by presentations and the opening of the Monroe County Historical Society Museum at 10 AM.
The Grand Parade will begin at 11 AM with the Union Pool opening at noon. A Cruise-In and Classic Car Show is scheduled from 12:30 PM-3 PM.
Following those activities, at 1:30 PM, the Horseshoe Tournament will begin at Union Park, and the Horse Show at Hinkle Farm on Willow Bend Road.
At 7 PM, following a raffle drawing, Brandon Laxton and Tupelo Drive, a grunge and classic rock band, will perform alongside Caden Glover who recently competed on “American Idol.”
Farmer’s Day 2023 concludes with a fireworks show at 10 PM.
