The Lootpress Kanawha Valley Player of the Week Award sponsored by Dutch Miller has arrived! After a successful football season we’ve decided to extend the award to the Kanawha Valley area (Putnam, Kanawha and Boone counties).
Below are the candidates for the 11th week of the girls basketball season. Voting will close Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 11:59 P.M. The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here.
VOTES ALONE DO NOT DETERMINE THE WINNER. In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report their nominee as well as supporting statistics (point per game for the week, double doubles, rebounds per game, etc.) to both [email protected] and [email protected]. It’s simple and easy and takes no more than five minutes!
Due to the snowstorms throughout Week 7 there were two winners in Week 8.
- Savannah Willard, Winfield – 19 points vs. Scott
- Alex Anderson, Hurricane – 17 points vs. Riverside, 19 points vs. South Charleston
- Brooklyn Crawley, Nitro – 18 points vs. Parkersburg Catholic, 13 points vs. Cabell Midland
- Anna Boggess, Buffalo – 13 points vs. Clay County
- Kynadee Britton, Sissonville – 21 points vs. Roane County
