Scheduled to begin at 5:00pm on Saturday, September 7, 2024, the event will continue until 10:00pm and will feature live music performances, kids activities, speakers, resources, and more. The proceedings have been scheduled to coincide with National Recovery Month, which is observed every September.

“September is National Recovery Month and celebrates the lives of those who have been brought back from Substance Use Disorder abuse through the recovery process,” says Robert Pauley with the Lively Family Amphitheater. “The journey to reclaiming lives [is] marked by resilience and transformation, where individuals find strength amidst adversity to rediscover their inner light. This event is open to public whether you are a recovery , a family member or friend, or simply a concerned citizen who is part of a community. Recovery is real celebrate a new beginning.”

The Fayette Prevention Coalition will be among the local organizations to participate in the community event, and community members have been encouraged to join in to celebrate recovery awareness and healing, as well as remembering those who have been lost to overdose.

“Join us for this awareness event where together we can remember those we’ve lost from drug overdose and work to end overdose through healing and empowering our communities,” said the FPC.

Live performers slated to provide entertainment for the evening include Dwain Sheppard and Wes Lewis-Coyote.

The Lively Family Amphitheater is located at 44 Kelly Avenue in Oak Hill, WV.
