MASON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An incident early Sunday morning led to the arrest of an Ohio woman for disorderly conduct and obstruction in Mason County.
At approximately 1:58 a.m. on December 15, 2024, Patrolman A. Turner, stationed at 656 2nd Street in Mason, observed an individual on surveillance cameras tampering with his police cruiser. Upon investigating, the individual was identified as Nettie Brooks, a resident of Long Bottom, Ohio.
When questioned, Brooks stated she was “just laying her phone” on the cruiser. Patrolman Turner asked if she had an emergency, to which she replied no. After instructing her multiple times to leave the property, Brooks initially complied but continued to yell and scream at the officer while walking into the roadway.
Despite further warnings, Brooks refused to leave, prompting her arrest for obstruction and disorderly conduct. She was transported to the office for processing but refused to submit to fingerprinting.
Following the refusal, Patrolman Turner transported Brooks to the Western Regional Jail for further processing.
