BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Beckley City Manager Michael Resare has resigned effective immediately, just weeks after being sworn into the position on December 6, 2024.
Resare, who came to Beckley from Arizona, reached a negotiated agreement with city officials as part of his departure. Under the terms, he will receive four months of severance pay, along with an additional month of salary and insurance benefits, in accordance with his contract.
As part of the agreement, both Resare and the city have resolved any potential legal disputes and have agreed not to make any further negative comments about one another.
City officials have not yet announced plans for Resare’s replacement.
