KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Detectives with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Charleston man on charges of sexual abuse involving minors, with incidents dating back more than three decades.
Bradford Allen Cooper, 60, was taken into custody on February 20, 2025, following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Section.

Authorities say Cooper is charged with sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in a position of trust to a child.
According to investigators, the first case of abuse occurred between April 7, 1991, and April 7, 1997, when the victim was between 5 and 12 years old.
A second victim came forward during the investigation, leading to an additional charge.
That case allegedly took place between September 11, 1996, and September 11, 2001, when the victim was between 5 and 10 years old.
The charges were filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
