JACKSON COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was charged following a domestic disturbance in Jackson County after allegedly assaulting two men during an argument over a cat.
Authorities responded to a call on August 3 at a residence on Spencer Road in LeRoy, where they say Stephanie Toney became involved in a heated dispute with Steven Toney and Jeffrey Sigmon. The argument reportedly started when Toney accused the men of letting her cat out of its cage.
During the altercation, investigators say Toney struck Steven Toney in the head with her cell phone, leaving a small bump. She then allegedly slapped Sigmon across the left side of his face.
Toney is charged with domestic battery.
