BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority (NRGRDA) is urging area residents to explore becoming Delivery Service Partners (DSP) as Amazon opens a new facility in Beaver.
“Amazon is offering training, a business coach, and deals on vans, uniforms, and insurance to get local people started,” said Jina Belcher, NRGRDA executive director.
“Each Delivery Service Partner who serves the Beckley facility has the potential to create 40 – 100 jobs and significantly strengthen our local economy.”
Belcher said Tiffany Henderson, Amazon’s West Virginia DSP business development partner, is available to provide information at https://bit.ly/m/TiffanyHenderson.
Startup costs can be as low as $10,000, with potential annual revenues between $1 million and $4.5 million and profits of $75,000 to $300,000.
According to Henderson’s site, the program helps entrepreneurs build package delivery businesses with Amazon’s support, including a dedicated business coach and access to services such as uniforms and vehicle insurance.
