CHAPMANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Chapmanville High School and Middle School will close an hour early today, the West Virginia Department of Education announced.
The high school’s early dismissal comes after a bat was discovered in one of the classrooms, prompting the evacuation of the room and the involvement of pest control.
The middle school will close early due to bus transportation issues.
A post on the Logan County Schools Facebook page Tuesday morning stated that the situation is under control, all necessary precautions have been taken, and there is no cause for concern.
