GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Virginia State Police are investigating a threatening social media post aimed at federal immigration officers that surfaced last month.
According to authorities, on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., an officer was contacted by the West Virginia State Police Intelligence Unit regarding a TikTok post that included a violent threat. The post stated, in part, “If the ICE [expletive] come to WV, be warned, I’ll mow you down with a twelve gauge. ICE is not welcomed in WV.” The video reportedly featured a golden skeleton wearing a black hooded cloak.
Investigators believed the post was made by James Linwood Allen, who resides on Mathews Road in Ronceverte.
During the interview, Allen acknowledged making the post and told officers he was angry at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, claiming they operate “above the law.” Troopers attempted to explain how law enforcement use-of-force incidents are investigated and reviewed regardless of public opinion.
Authorities report that during the conversation, Allen stated multiple times that he was willing to kill ICE agents. When asked how he would do so, Allen allegedly said he would tell an ICE agent to leave and, if the agent refused, he would carry out the threat.
Allen was arrested and charged with threats of a terrorist act.
