WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Officials are urging motorists across West Virginia to stay off the roads this evening as conditions are quickly deteriorating.
Snow melt from today is beginning to refreeze on roadways with fresh snow falling across much of West Virginia.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says roads are in poor shape and encourages residents to avoid travel if possible.
West Virginia 511 is reporting several crashes across the state including on U.S. 19 in Fayette County and on the Turnpike.
Multiple county school systems have already canceled or delayed classes for Wednesday, February 4.
