MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 24-year-old Morgantown man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon along Interstate 68, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on April 12 near the 13-mile marker on I-68 westbound. Corporal F. E. Little responded to the scene and launched an investigation.
Preliminary findings indicate that James Roy Smith III was traveling westbound when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials confirmed that Smith’s next of kin has been notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
