MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities have identified the body recovered from the Monongahela River in the Granville area over the weekend as a Morgantown man.
According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, the individual recovered from the river on Saturday, June 13, was identified as Dylan Anthony Brown of Morgantown.
Deputies responded to the Granville area at approximately 11:06 a.m. after receiving reports of a body in the water. Emergency responders recovered Brown’s body about 200 to 300 yards north of the Granville boat ramp.
The sheriff’s office has not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
