SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Nicholas County Fair will return to Nicholas County Veterans Memorial Park July 22-25, offering four days of rides, live entertainment, livestock events, exhibits and family-friendly activities.
Admission is $10.
The fair opens Wednesday through Friday with gates opening at 4 p.m. and rides beginning at 5 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at noon and rides begin at 1 p.m.
Opening day on Wednesday, July 22, will feature princess appearances from 5-7 p.m., Children’s Night from 5:30-6:30 p.m., a performance by Never Zero at 7 p.m., Velma the Bus and a canning question-and-answer session at the Red Barn.
Thursday’s schedule includes music by The Reunion Band at 6 p.m., race cars with Jim Rader and Nolan Marsh, Patriot Garden activities from 4-8 p.m. and a cherry tomato tasting from 5-7 p.m.
Friday will feature a goat show at 10 a.m., princess appearances from 5-7 p.m., Joe Simpson at 5:30 p.m., Brett Mahon at 8 p.m. and a tea tasting from 5-7 p.m.
Saturday’s events include a tractor show, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the show starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by a livestock show at 2 p.m. The 4-H and FFA Livestock Sale begins at 6 p.m. The day will also include a sliced tomato tasting and a performance by Eagles tribute band On the Boarder at 7:30 p.m.
Throughout the week, fairgoers can enjoy 4-H exhibits, an art show, quilt show, Red Barn exhibits, craft vendors, mechanical bull rides for $5, pony rides by donation and nightly bingo. Bingo will be held Wednesday through Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday from 3-9 p.m.
The fair will also feature carnival rides, games, food trucks, carnival food, live music, horse and livestock shows, demonstrations and other attractions during the four-day event.
