WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci is scheduled to testify before the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Wednesday, July 29, following a subpoena issued by Committee Chairman Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time in Room SD-342 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.
According to the committee, the hearing is titled “Testimony of Anthony Fauci.”
The hearing is expected to focus on topics including the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the origins of COVID-19, National Institutes of Health research funding and Fauci’s previous congressional testimony.

Fauci’s appearance comes after he was subpoenaed by the committee after declining to testify voluntarily.
