INDORE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two children were killed and a third was critically injured in a vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Clay County, according to the West Virginia State Police.
Troopers with the West Virginia State Police Clay Detachment responded to the crash near the Indore Post Office at 11447 Clay Highway at approximately 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.
According to West Virginia State Police, a 2008 GMC Acadia driven by James Neal II, 34, of Indore, veered off the roadway and struck the rear of a parked and unoccupied Liugong front-end loader.
Three juvenile passengers, all family members of the driver, were inside the vehicle.
A 7-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, both from Indore, were pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said.
A 14-year-old boy from Bickmore suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to CAMC General Hospital. He was listed in critical but stable condition at the time of the State Police release.
Neal suffered minor injuries and was transported by troopers to Summersville Regional Medical Center for treatment and to assist with the investigation.
Following the crash, Midland Trail Football issued a statement indicating the family had been traveling home from youth football.

West Virginia State Police said the families of those involved have been notified.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
