KENOVA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An 18-year-old man was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash along U.S. Route 52 in Wayne County, according to West Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:37 p.m. Aug. 27 near the intersection of Cedar Run Road in the Kenova area.
State Police said a preliminary investigation determined Ronald Fraley, 18, of Fort Gay, was traveling south on U.S. 52 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a guardrail on the east side of the roadway.
The vehicle then traveled back across the roadway and collided head-on with another vehicle before overturning on the west side of the road.
Fraley suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police said alcohol and drugs are not suspected to have contributed to the crash.
Fraley’s next of kin has been notified. The crash remains under investigation.
