CROSS LANES, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of stealing copper wiring from a power pole in Cross Lanes.
According to the sheriff’s office, the theft occurred Aug. 21 on Walnut Valley Drive.
Investigators said a shirtless white male with several tattoos on his upper body climbed a power pole while carrying bolt cutters. The suspect allegedly cut and removed a long strand of copper wiring from the pole.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the incident is asked to contact the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office at 304-357-0169 and ask for Deputy Oakley. Tips may also be submitted through the sheriff’s office website.
The sheriff’s office noted that all suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
