MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported child abduction involving a 9-year-old boy.
According to the sheriff’s office, Sean Blaney reportedly took his 9-year-old nephew, Jackson Blaney, for a walk before taking the child’s father’s truck and leaving with Jackson.
Jackson is described as having blonde, medium-length hair and being tall for his age. Authorities did not provide a description of the clothing he was wearing.
Sean Blaney is described as having long brown hair and may be wearing a black cowboy hat and brown cowboy boots. No other clothing description was available.
Authorities said the vehicle involved is a silver 2019 Toyota Tacoma with a small hitch on the back and West Virginia registration ONY628.
Monongalia County sheriff’s deputies are working with the West Virginia State Police to activate an Amber Alert.
Anyone who sees the vehicle or Sean Blaney is urged to call 911 immediately.
