CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The West Virginia Amusement & Limited Video Lottery Association (WVALVLA) today announced that Access Strategies has been selected to lead the Association’s management and government affairs efforts, bringing expanded organizational capacity and experienced advocacy to one of West Virginia’s longstanding industries.
Under the new partnership, Access Strategies will provide comprehensive association management services while also directing the Association’s government affairs strategy and advocacy before the West Virginia Legislature, executive branch, and relevant state agencies.
“West Virginia’s limited video lottery industry supports more than 7,000 jobs statewide, hundreds of locally owned businesses, and communities across our state,” said Jimmy Knowles, Jr., President of the West Virginia Amusement & Limited Video Lottery Association. “As our industry continues to evolve, it is important that our Association has strong, experienced leadership representing our members and helping us plan for the future. Access Strategies brings an impressive combination of association management experience, government affairs expertise, and relationships throughout West Virginia. We are excited to welcome their team and begin this next chapter for our Association.”
Access Strategies is a West Virginia-based government affairs and strategic consulting firm with extensive experience representing businesses, trade associations, and organizations before state
government. The firm’s work combines year-round government affairs advocacy with association management, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and organizational support.
As part of its association management services, Access Strategies will work closely with the Association’s officers, board of directors, and membership to oversee day-to-day operations, member communications, meetings and events, membership development, and long-term organizational planning. The firm will also provide a team of experienced registered lobbyists to advocate for the Association and its members before state policymakers.
