BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Sip & Slide, a family-friendly indoor play space and café that opened in Beckley this summer, will permanently close at the end of September.
The business, located at 346 Rural Acres Drive, announced the decision Sunday afternoon. Sip & Slide was created to provide families with a safe indoor space where children could play while parents relaxed, while also operating a café open to guests of all ages.
The business said its final day of operation will be Sept. 30.
“After weeks of back and forth, I have come to the decision that after we finish our events in September, Sip and Slide will be closing. Our last day will be September 30th. Our hours of operation for the rest of September will be Tuesday-Friday 9-3, and Saturdays 10-4,” the business stated in a Facebook post.
“Thank you to all of the families that came in and helped make my little dream for Beckley a reality, even for a short time.”
The closure comes just months after Sip & Slide opened its doors in Beckley this summer.
The business will continue operating through the remainder of September, including its previously scheduled events, before closing permanently on Sept. 30.
