OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man wanted on a Jackson County warrant was arrested Friday after allegedly running from an Oak Hill police officer and hiding behind bushes in a resident’s yard.
According to a criminal complaint, an officer spotted Tyler Eugene Foster near Main Street and Highlawn Avenue at approximately 6:21 p.m. September 18. The officer recognized Foster from previous encounters and knew he had an active warrant.
Police said Foster ran when the officer attempted to contact him. The officer chased him toward Bunch Street and found him behind bushes at a home on Bunch Street, where he was taken into custody.
The officer reported finding a hypodermic needle on Foster. The homeowner told police she wanted to pursue a trespassing charge.
Foster was arrested on the Jackson County warrant for driving while revoked. The complaint also lists fleeing on foot, obstructing an officer, trespassing and possession of a controlled substance among the charges.
