RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Motorists traveling along Robert C. Byrd Drive in Crab Orchard should expect brief traffic stops Sunday as Appalachian Power crews complete electrical infrastructure work in the area.
Crews will work on Bartel Court, off Robert C. Byrd Drive near the Wilcox Valley Avenue intersection, from 7 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, weather permitting.
According to Appalachian Power, crews will remove existing electrical equipment and install new wire and a utility pole as part of ongoing efforts to improve electric reliability in the area.
Flaggers will coordinate brief, intermittent traffic stops on Robert C. Byrd Drive near the Wilcox Valley Avenue intersection to allow crews and equipment to safely access the work area.
Motorists traveling through the area during the scheduled work should be prepared for temporary delays.
