FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Fayetteville man is accused of punching his wife in the face, knocking out two bridged teeth, and striking two children during a domestic dispute, according to a police complaint.
Police were dispatched to a Fayetteville residence around 1:33 p.m. on September 26. While responding, officers learned that both adults had left the home and the woman had contacted Oak Hill police.
The woman later met with Fayetteville police and reported that she and her husband, Rickey Blankenship, had been arguing over a recording she made of an earlier argument.
According to the complaint, Blankenship punched her in the head and then on the left side of her mouth, knocking out two bridged teeth and causing significant bleeding.
Their 15-year-old son intervened, telling his father, “We don’t hit.” Blankenship allegedly grabbed and struck the teen before the two began wrestling on the ground.
The woman told police she jumped on Blankenship’s back and scratched him while trying to pull him off their son.
An 11-year-old daughter also reported being struck by Blankenship during the altercation. The woman told police she did not witness that alleged strike.
Police took the woman’s complaint and advised her to seek a domestic violence protective order, which she obtained, according to the report.
