FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Communities across Fayette County have announced trick-or-treat and trunk-or-treat events for the 2026 Halloween season, with most traditional trick-or-treating scheduled for Halloween night.
Festivities will begin Oct. 24 with Oak Hill’s Nightmare on Main event from 6 to 9 p.m.
Montgomery will hold a trunk-or-treat event Oct. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Ansted’s trunk-or-treat event Oct. 29 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Several events are planned for Saturday, Oct. 31.
Smithers will hold trunk-or-treat from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Montgomery will hold trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
Meadow Bridge has scheduled Halloween activities from 5 to 8 p.m.
Fayetteville will hold trunk-or-treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by traditional trick-or-treating from 6 to 8 p.m.
Oak Hill and Ansted will both hold trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
Gauley Bridge will hold trunk-or-treat from 6 to 7 p.m. and traditional trick-or-treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
In Pax, trunk-or-treat and traditional trick-or-treat are both scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m.
Mount Hope’s Halloween schedule has not yet been finalized and is expected to be determined following its October council meeting.
Parents and residents should watch for additional announcements from individual municipalities in case schedules or event details change before Halloween.
