CHAPMANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man has been arrested after West Virginia State Police say a van stolen from a Logan County church was recovered in Wayne County.
Trooper First Class D.T. Bryant responded to Crawley Creek Road in Chapmanville on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to investigate a reported grand larceny.
According to State Police, a 2022 Ford Transit van had been stolen from the parking lot of Striker Bible Church.
Following an investigation and search, troopers located the stolen van on Tick Ridge Road in Wayne County.
Mitchell Blankenship, 35, of Dunlow, was arrested and charged with grand larceny. He was transported to Southwestern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
State Police said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are pending.
