PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman has been charged with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting in Wood County Monday afternoon.
According to the Parkersburg Police Department, law enforcement officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Seventh Street, where 35-year-old Jessica Lively, of Raleigh County, had been shot in the chest.
Investigators said the shooting followed an argument between Lively and 33-year-old Samantha Deem.
Deem was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. She is being held at the North Central Regional Jail while awaiting court proceedings.
