GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Motorists traveling along Interstate 64 in Greenbrier County should prepare for possible traffic delays Sunday, October 18, as crews install fiber optic lines along a portion of the highway.
According to Quanta Telecom, the work is scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. along I-64 between mile markers 145 and 152.
The West Virginia State Police will conduct multiple rolling roadblocks throughout the work period to allow crews to complete the installation safely.
The westbound exit ramp at Dawson, Exit 150, will also be temporarily closed during the rolling roadblocks.
Drivers traveling through the area are encouraged to allow additional travel time and use caution when approaching traffic restrictions.
Officials said the project could be postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
If the work cannot be completed as scheduled, it will be rescheduled for Sunday, October 25.
