Charleston – Parkersburg Catholic forced 20 turnovers, scoring 26 points off them to defeat Petersburg 57-37 Friday at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
Leslie Huffman led the charge for Catholic with 25 points and seven rebounds while Mary Tokodi-Ruth added 11.
Mickala Taylor scored 13 in the loss for Petersburg which finishes its seams with a 21-5 record.
Parkersburg advances to a championship game for the third time in as many opportunities (the 2020 tournament was canceled) where it will play Wyoming East in a rematch of last year’s title game. East won that game 61-50 but Parkersburg returned the favor On Dec. 11 with a 62-28 win at Logan.
The championship game is set for 12:30 p.m.
