Tazewell, Va. 6, Wyoming East 3
New Richmond – Carly Compton did it all for Tazewell on Monday, homering twice and striking out 14 batters in the circle as the Bulldogs topped Wyoming East 6-3 in New Richmond.
Maddie Gillespie added two hits and Hannah Hayes drove in two runs for Tazewell.
Kayley Bane led East at the plate with a double and a triple, driving in all three East runs in the loss.
East drops to 11-9 and will travel to sectional for Bluefield on Tuesday.
