RAINELLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Rainelle Town Council assembled Monday in a session which addressed a number of topics including town events, the introduction of a new town officer, and the town’s fireworks noise, among others.
As Fourth of July weekend approaches, many citizens across the country are taking advantage of the increased availability of fireworks for consumer purchase, with some taking it upon themselves to begin celebrating early.
However, once such celebrations begin bleeding into the late hours of the night and the wee hours of the morning, they can be considered violations of area ordinances.
“I just want to remind people that fireworks fall under the noise ordinance of the town,” said Rainelle Mayor Robin Williams. “Between 10:00pm and 7:00am is quiet time, so there shouldn’t be any fireworks or noises going off in town, and the [police] officers will address that if it happens at other hours.”
The Town of Rainelle has also been getting into the spirit for Independence Day with their 4th of July Town Decorating Contest, for which prizes include 2 Ozark Trail Camping Chairs and 2 Ozark Trail Tumblers for the first place residence, and lunch for your employees and 2 pizzas courtesy of Alfredo’s in Rainelle for the first place business.
