CROSS LANES, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested earlier this month in Kanawha County after attempting to enter a Cross Lanes residence.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, a man later identified as Jacob Harrison, 33 of Cross Lanes, had attempted to enter a Sun Valley residence through an outside crawl space.
The owner of the residence was altered to Harrison’s presence by his dog, and observed the suspect on his surveillance camera video.
Additionally, the suspect had attempted to enter through the window of an office attached to the residence. It was here, on the windowsill, that an identification card belonging to Harrison was found.
Shortly after, Harrison was located by authorities on a nearby street going through mailboxes.
The suspect was given several verbal commands to which he did not comply, at which point a K-9 Unit “Whiskey” was deployed to allow officers to take control of the situation.
Jacob Harrison was arrested on September 8, 2022, and upon arrest was found to be in possession of a tool set which had been stolen from a vehicle parked at Husky’s Dairy Bar on Washington Street West in Cross Lanes.
Harrison faces charges of Attempted Burglary and Breaking and Entering stemming from the Sun Valley incident, and is likely to see more charges as the case develops
