RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman is in jail after she stabbed her father multiple times.
According to Raleigh County Deputies, on June 27, 2023, they responded to a call on Midway Road. When they arrived, a verbal argument occurred between the suspect, Liberty Mae Bliss, and her boyfriend. Bliss’s father got in between both of them and put his daughter in a bear hug. Bliss stabbed her father in the arm, chest, side, and back.
Bliss told deputies that she was trying to get her father off her. It was also reported that Bliss, the victim, and several others were highly intoxicated. The father was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Bliss is charged with malicious wounding. She is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
