Following an opening season setback to Morgantown, the Beckley boys soccer team has rolled through the last five matches unscathed.
Friday night the Flying Eagles battled Spring Mills to a scoreless draw before closing out Bridgeport 3-0 Saturday.
The Cardinals (2-0-1) were the Class AAA boys soccer state runner-up last season to Greenbrier East.
Saturday afternoon, the Harrison County visitors were no match for the Beckley pressure. The Flying Eagles (4-1-1) sent the visitors back home with a 3-nil setback in both the varsity and JV matches.
Goals for the Flying Eagles in the JV match were scored by the freshmen trio of Hagen Hall, Eli Logan and Alex Belcher.
Hall also recorded the first goal of his varsity career Saturday along with strikes from Coby Dillon and Aiden Bell. The winners from Dillon and Bell were their third goals of the season.
Sophomore keeper Bryson Doss and the Flying Eagles defense combined to record their third consecutive clean sheet.
Beckley travels to Cabell Midland Tuesday before hosting sectional rival Princeton Thursday.
