WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On November 6th, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call of an individual reportedly getting shot at while hunting.
An individual was located target practicing. The deputies had learned that the initial caller had harvested an 8-point deer and had harvested another the week before.
Natural Resources Police Officers Cremeans and Casto followed up on the incident at the caller’s residence in Pleasants County. During the investigation, officers located several previously harvested deer and other environmental law violations.
Officers were able to determine that the initial caller had harvested two bucks on the same day in Wood County. Another illegally killed deer was located on the property as well. Officers issued numerous citations and warnings for the violations located.
