RIPLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Several individuals are facing charges based on an incident which occurred during an after-school soccer workout.
According to the Ripley Police Department, a lengthy investigation has led to charges being issued to one 18 year old male and four juvenile males involved in the incident, the victim of which has also been reported to be a juvenile.
The incident reportedly occurred at Ripley High School and has resulted in charges of conspiracy and battery for the adult male and three of the juveniles, while the fourth juvenile faces these same charges in conjunction with one charge of sexual abuse.
The Ripley Police Department has indicated that there are no current threats related to the incident.
“This incident is isolated and there are no other threats to any other students,” read the statement. “There will be no further statements from the police department at this time to protect the juvenile victim in this case as this is our main goal.”
