Albert Owen Crabtree, 78, of Lerona, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, at Princeton Community Hospital following an extended illness.
Born October 10, 1944, in McDowell County, WV, he was the son of the late Lewis Crabtree and Clarissa Blankenship Crabtree.
Albert spent his early years working as a construction worker, often talking about his time working in Chicago. He would come back to WV to work and retire as a coal miner.
Albert enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching westerns, football games and riding his golf cart with his Great-grandson, “Eastern”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Jeffrey and Dallas and his son-in-law, Earl Reed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Crabtree and his special sister-in-law, Anna Phillips both of the home; Three children, Catherine Reed, John Dorning (Sherry) and Regina “Jeannie” Bowles (Lee); Granddaughters, Amy Neal (Cody) and Rachel; Great-grandson, Easton “Eastern” Owen Neal who held a very special place in heart; Siblings, Sam Crabtree, Doris Mullins and Carol; Several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and friends.
