Maggie was devoted to her family and took great pride in cooking and homemaking. Her chicken & dumplings were considered the best in the world by her grandchildren and her great grands. She loved gardening and quilting and had no tolerance for idleness or laziness. All the children and all the grands have special quilts from “Nana”. She wanted all her children to be present at her death and they were. Maggie requested an old fashioned church service for her funeral and asked Landon to preach. She said, “Have church just as if I am sitting there.” Her prayer always was that her lost family come to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior. So she wanted her funeral to be her last opportunity to preach the Gospel. Her heart’s desire was to have all her loved ones reunited in Heaven. We will miss her but she is at rest now with our Lord.
