Anna Lee Looney, 99, of Stadium Drive, Bluefield, died peacefully, Monday, July 19, 2021, in the Bland Nursing and Rehab, Grapefield Road, Bastian, VA. Born, June 8, 1922, in Bland, VA, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Wolfe and Rosa May Willis Wolfe. Anna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved the Lord and was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Princeton. Anna enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking, but most of all she loved being with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman James Looney, one son, Jerry Keith Looney, one grandson and her siblings, Cora Katherine Akers, Ethel Kimberlin, Lena Mae Kimberlin and Carl David Wolfe. Left to cherish her memory are her one son, James Richard Looney and wife Janet; Six grandchildren; Several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; Two sisters, Francis Loraine Kell and Dolly Lucille Wall; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Anna Lee Looney, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 22, 2021, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Marva Smearman officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
