BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Housing Authority has partnered with the United States Department of Agriculture and Save the Children to host another Farmers to Family Food Box Pickup on Friday, May 14, 2021.
According to the event’s flyer, the pickup will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center located at 200 Armory Drive in Beckley. Drivers are asked to enter into the upper parking lot of the armory where they will be directed on where to go.
There are no income requirements for the drive-up distribution, meaning anyone in the Beckley area is welcome to take part.
Those who attend will receive a free, large food distribution box filled with produce, as well as meat and dairy products for children and families. There is a limit of two boxes per car.
All individuals are asked to remain in their vehicles and be mindful of all COVID-19 health and safety practices while volunteers load the boxes into the trunk of the vehicle.
The Beckley Housing Authority states that there could be last-minute changes to the delivery schedule, which are out of their control. Any changes will be shared as quickly as possible from the Authority’s Facebook page.
Questions about the distribution event can be directed to the authority at 304-256-1772.
