ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities have made an arrest in relation to the fatal shooting of a man in a residential driveway this week.
According to the West Virginia State Police, on Monday, November 13, 2023, Troopers responded to the residence of Preston L. Higgins at 1366 Ward Road in Randolph County. There, Mr. Higgins was discovered by law enforcement deceased in his driveway with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Through the investigation that followed, ans well as evidence gathered from the crime scene, Troopers discovered evidence which aided in the determination of a person of interest in the case.
The person in question had been seen with the victim prior the shooting, and Troopers were able to successfully track down the individual, leading to the obtaining of information leading to the arrest of a suspect.
Dallas Ray Bryant of Harmon WV was arrested on Friday, November 17, 2023, for the murder of Preston L. Higgins.
