BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Local city departments could see the addition of new equipment following an upcoming session of the Beckley City Council on Tuesday.
The Common Council session agenda for the meeting indicates that, at 6:30 on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, council members will convene at the Council Chambers in consideration of a number of proposed resolutions, not the least significant of which would facilitate the emergency purchase of six vehicles for the Beckley Police Department.
Also to be considered at Tuesday’s session will be a resolution for the purchase of a new fire truck for the Beckley Fire Department, as well as a resolution for the Region One Project list.
It is unclear at the time of writing the amount of funds which would be allocated toward the purchase of the aforementioned city vehicles should the resolutions move forward.
