UPDATE: BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man saw sentencing Tuesday for the 2018 slaying of a man in Raleigh County.
Marshall Ratliff – 24 years old at the time of the incident – of Beckley, West Virginia, was sentenced before Judge Andrew Dimlich Tuesday morning at a 9:00 am hearing.
Judge Dimlich issued the maximum sentence for the charge faced by Ratliff – Second Degree Murder – which will see Ratliff serving a 40-year prison sentence, according to Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hatfield.
One fatality resulted from the incident from which the trial emerged when Joshua Webb, 33 years old at the time of the incident – also of Beckley, West Virginia, was mortally wounded after being shot by Ratliff on July 23, 2018.

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is scheduled for sentencing Tuesday morning on murder charges stemming from a 2018 shooting.
Marshall Ratliff, 24 years old of Beckley, West Virginia, will go before Judge Dimlich on Tuesday at 9:00 am according to Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Ben Hatfield.
The sentencing will be for second degree murder, says Hatfield, and pertains to Ratliff’s role in the murder of Joshua Webb on July 23, 2018.
Ratliff was 24 at the time of the incident while Webb was 33.
