BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley Walmart associate is seeing a number of his online performance videos go viral after passing the first round auditions for American Idol.
Kamron Lawson, who attended Woodrow Wilson High School, is making the rounds online with videos demonstrating the rich vocal tone and impressive range which he will now have the chance to put on display for megastar American Idol judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.
It isn’t uncommon for patrons of the N Eisenhower Drive Walmart Supercenter to be greeted by Lawson’s smiling face and smooth vocals as they tend to their shopping needs.
The Raleigh County establishment joined in on offering their congratulations to Lawson upon the news that he’d be moving on in the audition process for the network show.
“Congratulations to our team associate Kamron,” said representatives from a business social media page. “He’s moving on to the next step in his American Idol journey after passing his first round audition and will be performing next in New Orleans for Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, & Luke Bryan!”
Lawson’s performance clips have seen him take on a number of tunes spanning a variety of genres, such as pop, country, and r&b.
Excitement is rising as the community prepares to rally behind Lawson in support of the next steps in his performance journey.
