DAVIS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Preparations are underway for the opening of the Blackwater Falls State Park Sled Run at the end of December.
According to the West Virginia State Parks website, the sled run is one of the most popular winter attractions in West Virginia. And at a quarter mile in length, there’s plenty of wide-open space for you and your family to enjoy fresh air and winter fun.
As long as the weather permits, the sled run is scheduled to be open Wednesdays through Sundays from December 23, 2022, to March 5, 2023. There will be additional holiday hours for the week between Christmas and New Years and on Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents’ days.
Sled run sessions are two hours long and are offered at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM on weekdays. An additional 7 PM session is available on Fridays, Saturdays, and holiday Sundays.
Tickets for one session are $25 on weekdays and $30 on weekends and holidays.
