BLUEFIELD, VA (LOOTPRESS) – Bluefield University systems have been shut down for an unknown period of time due to a recent cybersecurity attack.
This decision was made by campus leadership in an effort to maintain system integrity during the investigation and remediation process. No member of the campus community should attempt access to any campus system at this time.
“Bluefield University is actively assessing the situation and is in contact with professionals throughout this process,” said Joshua Cline, Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Marketing. “At this time no member of the campus community should access campus systems, including e-mail, until notice is provided. Updates to the campus community will be provided via RAMAlert text or social media pages as they are unaffected.”
This week is finals week at the University with commencement held on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Per the University Provost’s Office, all Monday exams and final assignment postings are postponed until further instructions are provided by the Provost’s Office via RAMAlert text or social media. Faculty members with questions may directly contact Dr. Michael Salmeier, Bluefield University Provost.
