BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Water Company lifted a precautionary boil water advisory Friday for the Joseph Street, Ridge Avenue, and Railroad Avenue areas of Raleigh County.
The precautionary advisory, issued on Thursday, applied to 206 through 218 ½ Joseph Street, 301 through 312 Ridge Avenue and 200 through 210 Railroad Avenue in Beckley.
Testing has confirmed that water meets standards for consumption.
As of Friday afternoon, the Beckley Water Company is actively flushing in the Shady Spring area. This announcement follows Thursday’s of a main line break being repaired in the area – coverage of which can be seen here.
Once water is restored in the Shady Spring area, residents who were previously without water will be under a boil water advisory until further notice.
