BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Water Company announced Sunday the lifting of a precautionary boil water notice initially issued on Saturday, May 28, 2022 for several areas including those along Ritter Drive and Lake Road.
The notice, issued due to a broken main line, applied to the areas from 1313 Ritter Drive to the intersection of 4H Lake Road, including Dan Mont Vista and 4H Lake Road and all side streets. C&O Dam and all side streets, as well as Grandview Road from the 800 block of Grandview Road to 1781 Grandview Road also fell under the advisory notice.
Subsequent water quality testing results have revealed that the quality of the water now meets drinking standards, eliminating any further need for boiling of the water prior to consumption.
