ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An investigation into a burglary incident Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a Randolph County man on methamphetamine-related charges.
According to Deputy Pingley of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, a criminal investigation was being conducted in the Highland Park area of Randolph County.
Information was received by Deputy Pingley over the course of this investigation which indicated that drug use was actively occurring on Highland Street.
This information was compiled, and a search warrant was subsequently issued by Randolph County Magistrate Court. This warrant was later served at a Highland Street residence.
Sgt. Cogar along with officers from the Elkins Police Department assisted at the location during the execution of the warrant.
The ensuing search of the residence revealed drug paraphernalia including 3.10 grams of a substance which was suspected to have been methamphetamine and was seized as evidence.
The only occupant at the residence, Robert Cain, was arrested following the execution of the search warrant and was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail for processing.
Cain faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the case currently remains under active investigation.
