MT ZION, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Calhoun County Board of Education has announced its hiring of Joe Paxton as the new principal of Calhoun Middle High School.
According to the Calhoun County BOE, Mr. Paxton has obtained valuable experience serving in various positions throughout his respective career in education over the past 28 years.
Most notably, Joe Paxton served as a Superintendent of Schools, Assistant Superintendent, and Associate Superintendent. Paxton’s career in education also includes several other positions such as Middle and Elementary School Principal, Assistant Principal, and Alternative Learning Center Coordinator.
Mr. Paxton is a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
Joe Paxton says he is ecstatic to serve the students and parents of Calhoun County. The Calhoun County BOE says that he understands the important role the school plays in providing the district’s students with limitless possibilities and working together as a team and that Mr. Paxton is looking forward to being a part of the Red Devils family.
